We stayed at the Hotel Beyaz Saray for our Istanbul trip. Very briefly, I loved the place. The breakfast was so good, one of the real highlights of the entire trip. The location across from Grand Bazaar and only a twenty-minute walk to all the attractions in Sultanahmet. There’s a Grand Bazaar tram station next to the hotel if you want to go farther afield in Istanbul. Finally, we were lucky and had a great view of the Beyazit Mosque from our room. The banner image above is from our window.
We did not have a chance to try the pool and spas at the hotel. Access is free from noon until 19:00, after that access costs ten Euros. We never got back to the hotel early enough to take advantage of the free hours, and by the evening we were always too tired to make it worth the cost. The only minor complaint I have is the lack of laundry service. I needed to wash a shirt in the bathroom sink because I didn’t pack enough.
The lack of laundry service is not enough to turn me off from the hotel. I will visit Istanbul again in July and I plan to stay at the Beyaz Saray again.
