The lack of discipline among supposed military professionals is shocking in Ahsoka. I already whined about how the Republic is unable to secure their own docking bays, now it is time for the ex-Imperials/Sith to get dumped on.
The quick setup. Ahsoka and Sabine are being chased and shot in a hostile system. Their ship takes a direct hit from a turbolaser and is dead in space. With enemy ships closing quickly, Ahsoka’s plan is to stand on the outside wing of their ship and distract the enemy pilots with her lightsabers.
I’m not tactical genius, but even I can see through this pathetic ruse. Don’t shoot at Ahoska, shoot at the rest of the ship you jabronis! The ship is already crippled, just finish the job. Then Ahsoka and her crew will be floating in the dark. Clean up if you like. Or let them slowly suffocate in their space suits.
But of course not. The enemy ships are taken in by Ahsoka who can deflect a bunch of their blaster fire with her lightsabers. She ends up chopping a ship in half before Sabine gets their ship repaired and they take off to fight another day.
In a better-written show, I would might believe that the Sith pilots were just too murder-hungry to act like real killers that can finish a job. But so far Ahsoka hasn’t given me that confidence yet.
